WHERE IS THE COMPASSION?

For a very long time it has been said that America was founded on Christianity. But where is the compassion?

Compassion is a deep awareness of the suffering of others and the desire to relieve it.

Compassion means "to suffer together."

In all major religions compassion is considered the greatest of virtues. 

Then why don't most Americans show compassion to one another and to other nations? Because talk is cheap.

Wars are fought in other nations in which thousands are killed, and people are murdered every day in America. Is that compassion?

Every day innocent children are abused in this country. Is that compassion?

Most American citizens verbally and physically abuse one another. Is that compassion?

The prisoners in America are composed of 2% Atheists and 78% Christians. What are the Atheists doing right and the Christians doing wrong?

I know of many Atheists who are more concerned about their fellow man than many Christians are. 

Being a Christian is not an automatic ticket to heaven. Without the proper beliefs and works they will go somewhere else; need I say where?

I wonder what this nation would really be like if it was founded on Buddhism instead of Christianity. 

THE FOLLY OF WAR

"For many years now I've lived among you as a visitor. I've seen the beauty of your many cultures. I've felt great joy in you magnificent accomplishments. I've also seen the folly of your wars..." 

- The Man of Steel, Superman IV: The Quest For Peace

In reality over the past 6,000 plus years there have been more than 15,000 wars. 

What has mankind really accomplished? 

First mankind overpopulates the earth, and then creates wars in which millions die. Then at wars end it's back to overpopulating the planet, until the next war.

Mankind is caught in an endless loop of procreation and destruction.

I've heard a Christian pastor tell his congregation that mankind is God's greatest creation. How so?

The Bible tells us:

"What is man that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man that thou visitest him?

"For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honor." - Psalm 8:4, 5

Since when is man God's greatest creation?

Mankind has an over inflated opinion of itself. It has gotten so that people think that they are gods; that they are answerable only to themselves. Nothing could be farther from the truth. The day will come when they will answer to God.

THE BLIND LEADING THE BLIND

"Let them alone; they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch." 

- Matthew 15:14

Christ spoke the above words but in today's world there are too many people who are blindly following after every wind of doctrine. 

We cannot believe everything that we see and hear otherwise we will become as unstable as water; liquid one moment, solid the next, and then like vapor.

But there are those whose roots are shallow, they do not go deeply into the earth to be sustained. When life's storms come at them they are uprooted like mighty oaks. 

Why is this?      

Because they are too rigid they do not bent in the wind and are therefore torn out. 

Look at the palm trees. Their roots often go hundreds of feet into the earth. They are anchored well. When storms come at them the trees bend in the wind, but they do not break because they are flexible. 

If we are to go through life victorious then we must take a stance against the falsehoods that people are throwing into the wind, but if we are well grounded and flexible we will not break. 

Sooner or later those who created the falsehoods will crash to the earth broken because their doctrines were not sound.

THE ANGEL OF LIGHT

"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 

"And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light."

- 2 Corinthians 11:13, 14 

Lucifer means "light bearer." 

Lucifer was the name of Satan before the angelic fall. 

Contrary to popular belief the devil does not have horns, cloven hooves, and a long pointed tail. Neither does he wear a red flannel suit, or carry a pitch fork. That is a Catholic invention.  

If you saw that coming down the street would you run up to him and say, "Hi, can I be your friend?"

On the contrary you would turn around and run. 

As stated in 2 Corinthians 11:14, Satan is transformed into an angel of light.

If he were hideous then no one would be attracted to him. Light attracts, darkness does not. But once the false light of Lucifer attracts its victims then darkness will set in. 

This is why I find 2012 so appalling:

Too many Christians are wandering off the path of Christ and are being pulled in the direction of that future timeframe. 

Which one are you going to believe? 

As for me, I will serve the Lord.  

SELF-DECEPTION

It has been said, "Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me."

But who is the person who fooled you, you or someone else? 

You don't have to live with the 6.5 billion people who are in the world so you don't have to deal with the falsehoods that they may come up with. But you do have to live with yourself; how then will you deal with the lies you tell yourself? 

Self-deception is a lie.

If something is wrong with your health denying the fact will not make it go away. 

Your marriage may be in jeopardy but if you choose to ignore the warning signs then all may be lost.

Your children may be running with the wrong crowd but if you pretend that all is well you might pay very dearly.

It has also been said, "These truths are self-evident." 

You must choose to take action or remain inert. In either event the consequences are real, and they are real for better or for worse.

You must face what life throws your way each and every day and you must do this until you breathe your last.

HOW LONG HALT YE BETWEEN TWO OPINIONS?

The problem with most Americans, and with most Christians for that matter, is that they are lifelong members of the Bless Me Club. As long as they hear what they like all is well. But if they don't like what they hear they are ready to annihilate. But more often than not they reject the truth to their own hurt.

The young man who got a nasty scare on Sunday, September 6 is sick because the media just won't let sleeping dogs alone with their doomsday prophecies.

When people get scared their immune systems get weakened and they become prone to illnesses.

Tomorrow is the eighth anniversary of 9/11 and Americans will probably want to discuss the terrorism that took place on that fateful day. But what about the terrorism that is taking place right here in America.  

Americans won't remain quiet about 2012.

It has become an obsession. 

Americans keep saying that this country was founded on Christian principles, then why are they following in the footsteps of Nostradamus and not in the footsteps of Christ? 

"And Elijah came unto the people, and said, 'How long halt ye between two opinions. If the LORD be God, follow him. But if Ba'al, then follow him...' "

- 1 Kings 18: 21 in part

WHAT IS TRUTH?

Pilate therefore said unto him, "Art thou a king then?" 

Jesus answered, "Thou sayest I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world. that I should  bear witness unto the truth. Every one that that is of the truth heareth my voice."

Pilate saith unto him, "What is truth?" 

- John 18:37, 38

The truth is everything that is not a falsehood. And visa versa. 

There is no such thing as a white lie. A lie is a lie no matter what color it is painted. And white lies are told to cover up people's shortcomings. There is no truth in falsehoods.

Instead of waiting upon solid facts many people race after falsehoods to prove, and to justify their own beliefs. But what does the evidence say? 

In the Sherlock Holmes story "An Incident in Bohemia" the great detective says, "People change facts to suit theories instead of theories to suit facts."

Theories are merely what people believe to be the truth, but often they are wrong. A theory tells us, "This is how something should function." But often the function is different in reality.

Changing truths into lies and lies into truths does not change the nature of those truths and those lies; they are merely hidden from view; and they are deceiving because we do not recognize them for what they are.

Strip away the masks of deception and see what is really there. How can this be done? By being honest with yourself. You don't have to live with every one on earth, but you do have to live with yourself, for better or for worse.  

FALSEHOODS WILL NOT DO

I am Jaguar Thunderwolf.

On the evening of Sunday, September 6, 2009 I received a very distressing email from a young man of 16. 

I read the message and I was informed that he had just seen a television program called "Nostradamus 2012" and the individual was terribly frightened because the show mentioned the end of the world.

Predictions about "The End of The World" or "The End of Days" has come down since 44 B.C. until the present day but we are still here. 

Mark 13:32:

"But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father." - Jesus the Christ

God does not create fear in the hearts of innocent people, people do. 

We need to stop creating panic. 

Sensationalism is causing havoc among the people and it has got to stop before something really evil takes place.
